We are an independent sawmill and timber merchants specialising in Hardwoods. From our site, here at Cocking in the South Downs, we have milled round timber since the 1940’s when the mill was first established to help the war effort.

Since then, we have been a working sawmill, active in woodland management and forestry practices in the south east of England.

This website was established to highlight the products of good woodland management and forestry, the homegrown timbers, and to promote their use for furniture, joinery, cladding and structural work and much, much more.

Our English timbers include Oak, Elm & Sweet Chestnut, Cherry, Walnut, Sycamore, Yew, Cedar of Lebanon as well as the homegrown softwoods such as Douglas Fir, Larch & Western Red Cedar.
